How to use Solarscope products safely
|
- NEVER NEVER look at the directly at the sun
- Align your telescope to look at the sun using a
Tele Vue Sol Searcher
- If you use your Solarview Telescope or Solar Filter in conjunction with another finder or guidescope always ensure that you have the lens cap in place to prevent accidental viewing or burning of whichever bit of you might be in the way!
- Remember to use sun block to prevent sun burn - the time will fly by as you are enjoying yourself so much!
- If you are using a solar filter system on your telescope always assemble the solar filter components on the telescope before you align it with the sun and always move the scope out of alignment before you disassemble it. This will protect you eyes, your telescope and the components of the filter.
- Knocks and bumps of Solarscope equipment may do irreparable damage, so do take care not to drop them! Should you be unlucky in this respect the units (as long as they are not cracked) remain eye safe but you will see a noticeable loss in image quality. In this event please contact us.
- Your eye safety is paramount and all Solarscope telescopes and filters meet rigorous safety standards to ensure that you enjoy many years of trouble free solar observing.
